Just out from our colleagues at the Happiness Alliance: an overview of 2017 data compiled…
December 1st is Happiness Day in Las Vegas!
Great news from Lift Up Vegas!
It may be easy to overlook the fact that Las Vegas is more than a playground for vacationers looking for a good time — it is a living, breathing city with real folks going about their everyday lives, with problems and joys like anywhere else. Those real folks include our friends at “Lift Up Vegas,” who just advanced the gross national happiness movement by working with the Mayor of Las Vegas, Carolyn Goodman, to get December 1st declared as “Lift UP Vegas Day.”
The Mayor’s proclamation makes clear that “Lift UP Vegas Day” is all about happiness and well-being. In the proclamation, Goodman asked Vegas residents “to continue the important conversation about sustainability, resilience, happiness, and well-being in our community. … Let us all strive to lead a happier and more fulfilled life.”
